This course is offered in English, Spanish and Polish.

Online 4-Hour Driver Safety Course (DSC-4 Online)
The Online 4-Hour Driver Safety Course is an online version of the 4-Hour Driver Safety Course. The course is designed to allow users to learn driver safety strategies online using a personal computer with an internet connection. This interactive course consists of 12 modules including pre/post assessments, simulated exercises, real-life testimonials and a course summary.

Who Can Attend the Online 4-Hour Driver Safety Course?
Certain Illinois County Courts do not accept, or place restrictions on accepting, any online driver improvement courses.

At this time in Cook County, IL defendants who are 18 years of age or older at the time the ticket was issued and who have not enrolled in or attended a driver safety course in the previous 12 months may take the Online 4-Hour Driver Safety Course.

In Jefferson County, IL and Shelby County, IL, defendants may take the Online 4-Hour Driver Safety Course if they have not enrolled in or attended a driver safety course within the previous 12 months.

Completing the Online 4-Hour Driver Safety Course
Students can complete the course at one time or log in numerous times to complete all course sessions; however, students are responsible for completing the Online 4-Hour Driver Safety Course within the time limits set by the Court as indicated in the Online Course Assignment letter received by the student.

In order to successfully complete the Online 4-Hour Driver Safety Course, students must pass a post-test.

Registering for the Online 4-Hour Driver Safety Course
Students can register by paying their ticket and indicating the online course on the registration form.

If you did not receive a ticket in Cook, Jefferson or Shelby counties in Illinois, you should register for the online course by filling out the Volunteer Enrollment Form.

Switch from Classroom to Online
If you are currently scheduled to participate in the classroom version of the 4-Hour Driver Safety Course, you may be eligible to switch to the online version of the course.
